Today we're excited to announce Mode's integration with Heap, a powerful platform that enables you to build analytics infrastructure for your entire company. With Heap, every event—clicks, input changes, form submissions, and pageviews—is recorded from the moment of installation. That means when you define an event (like clicking a button), you'll get the historical data for that event, as well as any data collected from that point forward.

Retroactive data is Heap's superpower, and it becomes even more impressive in its raw form. With Heap SQL, this treasure trove of data is available in Redshift for further analysis, so you can join it with other data sources like CRM, marketing automation, or product data.

Analyze raw retroactive data

Heap has put together an incredibly thorough interactive guide of SQL queries to help customers make the most of Heap SQL. All of these queries are open sourced on Mode and can be used to explore user behavior, revenue, attribution, and more. Think of these queries as a starting point. Modify them as you go!

Using Mode's charting tools, you can quickly build charts on top of these queries. Bring your most important metrics in one shareable report for regular monitoring. And with a direct connection to Redshift, anyone can update the data in one click (or on a schedule).

Mode Analytics

You can also build custom visualizations. Here's an example of a path analysis showing the 20 most common user flows through a site. To apply this to your own Heap data, it's as easy as Cloning the report and swapping in references to your own schema.

Mode Analytics

Using Mode Python Notebooks, Heap has also compiled a couple of pivot tables examples that can be used to explore multi-touch attribution.

The possibilities are endless!
